All I can say that San Francisco was in for a major TREAT this past July 4th Weekend! It was Ranny's debut here in the Bay Area, and guess what, just as I was expecting it, HE TORE THAT DANCE FLOOR UP!
I've never have had the chance to hear Ranny before play live, however I have always heard and read good feedback. I guess the long wait was worth. Starting off with his private remix of Donna Summer for "Stamp Your Feet" Ranny took us all through a journey of HOT & Massive Tribal tracks. And for sure he was showing off his private collection of remixes (his) such as: BEP - Boom Boom Boom (that as of Sunday, I think he's is the BEST out there), MJ's You're Not Alone, DG feat. KR - When Love Takes Over, as well as many others (I can't remember now), but for sure it was an unforgettable night.
What I loved about this event it was the fact of being exposed to new stuff, things that I've never heard before, or I have never heard a DJ play before here in the City. There was some Latin/Brazilian flavors through the night, but what was more important is that people were loving it!
I had promised that I was going to tweet during the event (as I would normally do), however, by the 3rd track, I knew that Ranny meant business there, and he was not messing around. So I just put my phone away, and enjoyed the music! He kept dropping some serious banging tracks, that had everyone at the Infusion Lounge dancing (this at both Rooms).
An unforgettable set, just remembering some of those unreleased and private tracks he had showed me a different side of Ranny, and as I told him, I hope he releases them (hopefully) - but for now, if you want to know what I'm talking about, make sure to see him playing live next time he's in your area.
Based on last Sunday's Set, I know for sure Ranny will be back in San Francisco, to rock out at Industry - where I cannot wait to see him work that big room! Looking forward your next set baby! You Rocked SF!
